Love That Kid

Pin It Here's what I've been up to the past six months...his name is Truitt:

Although I certainly didn't intend for it to happen in quite this fashion, he's kind of taken over our lives. It's All Things Truitt here in the White House.

And that's okay, because we've managed to journey from the hellish land of colic to a veritable funhouse. Truitt is a jolly baby, most of the time, which is fabulous because it helps the fact that he refuses to sleep during the day.

He has just started his attempts at crawling, which are hilarious to watch.

Who can resist a bear on the bootie? Not me.

In all seriousness, we've been busy. To give you the short version of the past six months:
--Truitt arrived.
--He cried.
--He puked.
--I did massive amounts of laundry.
--He cried some more.
--He puked some more.
--I washed more clothes.
--He cut some teeth.
--He stopped crying when he received his share of magic fairy dust.
--He started to chortle at the dog.
--And recently he started trying to crawl.

That's pretty much it. And, oh--he believes he can fly. He believes he can touch the sky.

Congrats on the new addition, Lori...I've missed seeing you around. It's been a while. Truitt looks a bit like a mini-Lawson. I imagine he and the other boy are quite the handful together...

He's darling! And I'm so glad he's fun! You deserve a reward for surviving the first few months. :) Here's hoping that life gets a little easier and a little smoother as time goes by.

J--the kids in my youth group said he looked like a "little old man" at first. Too amusing! He is starting to look more and more like Lawson as days go by and he fills out more--he's just not quite as roly poly yet. And I'm not sure if this is a good thing, but he has no need of the Law Man to be a handful. I think we are going to have two very interesting, entertaining little boys. So.Very.Awesome.

Anaise--I think I had to have those first few months to fully appreciate the blessing I was being given, you know?

Loved my kids so much when they were this little.

dbs--I almost feel bad sometimes that I lavish so much attention on him. I have to remind my other two children (9 and nearly-13) that I did the same with them when they were babies, too. That's why they turned out so cool.
